Let me just say that any cookie that uses alcohol, could be considered a winner in my book! I don’t drink that much at all but i can eat my share of alcohol all day long! Ok i was a little skeptical of any thing with fruitcake in the title. I’ve never actually had fruitcake but lets just say horror stories made me weary.

They look good right, ok Her photos are better but They taste phenominal!

Ask anyone who knows me and they would say that i am obsessed with Mini Knitted Mittens, i love the look of them, i love to knit them I think they are so stinking cute I just can’t help myself.

The tree they are hanging on now was my Great Grandmothers and has seen a few better days, I have been thinking about replacing it but have never gotten around to it.

I like most of the world purchase several cookbooks through out the year, however i rarley ever crack the binding, they have been collecting dust beside the sparklers from two years ago on the bookshelf. That was however until this one crossed my doorstep thanks to the shipping elves of Amazon.Com. I had made a few things off her website, but nothing prepared me for the pure awesomness of her cookbook.

I have had this only a few days and have already made several recipies, not to mention the few that i have used for Thanksgiving dinner last month. I think the most appealing thing about this book is that the recipies are actually food that I grew up on, food my dad made regulary and have missed since he passed.

What is this book you ask

In addition to the recipies in here you will find so much more on her website The Pioneer Woman. Psst all you holiday cooks and bakers, she has entire sections devoted to sweets, and holiday dishes.  ENJOY!
