I found a cross stitch pattern book that i absolutley fell in love with,  it is called Sample the Seasons, if you remember i bragged about it here, and here. There are two Christmas samplers, but this is the one i have done at the moment. I started it on Oct. 20th and Finished it on Oct. 20th, but i wanted to wait to include this in my 25 days of Christmas posts.

I  havent been making much time to blog lately, ive been reading, and working on Christmas and other crafts. I realized that i never shared my Halloween Crafts, from last month. (better late than never right).

I did Jar Pumpkins that you saw HERE, and a pumpkin hat HERE.

Maddy went as a Garden fairy, I made her tutu, wand, and treat bag which I didn’t get a photo of. But isn’t she cute?

But the piece i was most proud of was I Love Halloween, From Sample the Seasons. They are just the cutest samplers, trust me when I say you will be seeing a lot more from this book in the future.

I took a break from needle crafts for a few days, well not really but i did work on some other things, I have Candy Corn softees cut out i just have to sit and sew them.  and i made these Halloween Lanterns, which i love and once I have more jars ill make some more. the tutorial is here.

I havent been neglecting my knitting, i finished an owl hat but im still working out two different patterns and hopefully those will be available soon.

sometimes i start a project and i love finish it and he holds a nice place in photos and real life, other times they end up here in the frogging basket, because well by that point im just so irritated i take it out on my poor basket.

a lot of things were frogged over the weekend with the hope that the yarn will be weaved into much nicer things.  I have on the needles pumpkin seeds, and the start of 4 owl hats for christmas, as well as a shawl i have to work on in private.

In the last few days a few things have come off the needs, including Watermelon 2.0, shawlette, and  a cute pumpkin hat. all of which still need to be blocked.

This was so simple and quick I  cranked this out in about ten minuets and received compliments all day, the full tutorial is here.

My favorite time of year is finally here, falling leaves, fairs, colors of russet, gold, and pumpkin. The perfect season for knitted wraps and long walks in the woods, leaf piles and laughing kids, evenings knitting by the fire..er it would be if the flu wasn’t still broken, out of the rockwell painting i come. Those are things I long for, its more like chasing kids through leaves, trying to find the mate to last years mitten that does still fit, but giving up and knitting up new ones because who doesn’t love new mittens, I may just knit myself some this year. My handmade Christmas list is growing by the day, and only two things are complete so far..

A long way to go and a short time to get there it seams, But I’ll Manage I always do. Sometimes i wonder why I put myself under this strain every year, I imagine one year I’ll just break down and do commercial shopping for everyone on my list, instead of one large thing for my daughter and everything else hand made. All I know i want to do is sip cider and enjoy some peace and quiet, because before long chaos will ensue.

Back to your regular scheduled knitting….
