US Size 5 Straight Needles
Us Size 2 DPNS
Any Worsted Weight Yarn( I used Bernat Cotton Tots, in Sweet Cream)
Scrap Yarn, enough to make small balls ( I used Lily Sugar and Cream)
2 to 4 toothpicks, depending on how many needles you want in your bag
2 to 4 small beads ( to fit on top of toothpicks)
Small About of fabric (cut to 1/4 inch larger than your finished knitted piece)
Cable Needle
Photo Copy of Favorite Knitting Magazine or book, photocopied to 25% of its original Size
A nice glass of wine & and an audio book (optional of course)
For the Body of the bag Cast On 16 Stitches and work a 4 row repeat as follows:
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Row 3: K6, C4B, K6
Row 4: Purl
Repeat until work is 41/2 inches long ending on row 1.
Purl Bind off.
Handles
Cast on 3 stitches and workin in I Cord Untill 3 inches long. Make 2.
Sew Handles to body spliting the cable on the back side of work.
Iron Fabric so that you have a folded edge, pin in place. do a simple straight stitch around the fabric.
Placeing out side of work right sides together, sew up the sides, Turn inside out.
Place magazine, yarn balls, and needles in bag.
